Dave has played with David Murray, Kenny
Wheeler, John Taylor, Mike Gibbs, Dave Cliff, Liam Noble,
Dylan Bates, Tim Richards’ Great Spirit, Paul Clarvis
and Stuart Hall, Diane McLoughlin’s Giant Steppes (including
a Radio3 broadcast) and toured extensively with the Kubryk
Townsend Band. He has recorded two CD’s with Hans Kollers’
New Memories including the recently released “London
Ear” with the late Steve Lacy. |

In 1994 Dave won the MCPS Best Original Composition Award
in the BBC Radio2 Big Band Competition and commissions followed
for John Dankworth and the Walsall Jazz Orchestra.
In 1996 the Dave Blackmore Quartet CD entitled “Fields
Of Fire” was released featuring Phil Robson, Paul Clarvis
and Tim Wells, mixing European Jazz with English folk music
in eight original compositions by Dave. Three national tours
followed.
